A thief tried to steal more than 100 packs of 5-Hour Energy from a neighborhood Rite Aid, according to police sources.

The thief was caught on the 320 Smith St. store's surveillance camera with 104 packs of the energy drink on Jan. 5 about 8 p.m., police said.

Michael Robbins, 31, was arrested about 15 minutes later and charged with petit larceny.

5-Hour Energy is sold in a variety of flavors and touted to provide “hours of energy” in a single shot, according to the company's website.

Rite Aid did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Other notable crimes in this month’s blotter at the 76th Precinct included the following:

► A $600 bike was stolen from a Henry Street residence between Dec. 24 and Jan. 5.

► A $500 iPhone was stolen from an employee at Red Hook’s Ikea on Jan. 3. The 21-year-old worker stepped away from her phone, which was left at a charging station, and returned to find it missing. Police arrested a 19-year-old woman, who also works at the Beard Street megastore, for the crime. “She should have never left it,” the thief said, according to police.

► A $1,300 metal bin filled with clothes was stolen and later retrieved from Columbia and Summit streets on Jan. 3, police said. Authorities arrested Orlando Flechas, 40, who was also in possession of a syringe and heroin residue at the time, police said.

► A 61-year-old man was punched in the face by a male attacker after buying a bagel and tea from a deli at 783 Hicks St. on Jan. 3 about 3:30 p.m., police said. No have arrests have been made, and the reason for the attack was not clear, police added.

“She should have never left it,” the thief said, according to police.

It was the victim's fault, of course.

I’m surprised they could catch him. He was trying to be Superman.
