A McDonalds branch in south London raised a few eyebrows after hanging a sign on the door warning youths they were not welcome in the fast food restaurant after 7pm.
The notice, which included a spelling mistake, declared: No youth will be serverd after 7pm.
In an effort to reduce anti-social behaviour inside the restaurant on Sidcup High Street, staff put up the sign following sustained disruption on Saturday night.
Local youths took to Twitter to express their indignation at the poster. One said: What are sidcup mcdonalds thinking I dont know loool majority of trade is from youths.
However, the ban was short-lived with McDonalds HQ making sure the sign was taken down and an apology issued.
A statement from a McDonalds spokeswoman given to News Shopper said: I can confirm that there is no age restriction policy in place at the McDonalds restaurant on Sidcup High Street.
On Saturday evening, the restaurant experienced problems with a group of individuals causing sustained disruption to the restaurant, affecting fellow customers and employees.
As a result, following consultation with local police, the restaurant management took urgent steps to try and prevent repeat anti-social behaviour.
The night crowd at Mickey D’s can get kinda blue.
I didn't know they served youth at all.
They should do what shopping malls in the US do, just play classical music after a certain time, or maybe Rat Pack music.
Slightly off topic, but, I have noticed some local malls in my areas have an annoying rock and roll soundtrack playing constantly. It makes me want to.get out of there.
Let’s play classical, and maybe the youth gangs and assorted low lifes will want to stay away. Good idea.

One McD’s in Reno limits diners to 30 min.
That’ll do it...OMG!
Stop serving alcoholic drinks, alco-pops, to the yoots and maybe they will leave
I was visiting in Reno and stopped in for coffee and thought it was bizzare to have this sign...but from the looks of it there were questionable folks hanging around outside.
