I’m surprised the Democrats didn’t want to give it amnesty.

Problem solved: Issue a stink bug to every illegal alien.

This thread would just be too easy to make comments on, it’d be like shooting fish in a barrel!

CA is very fussy about what invasive species get into their state.

Introducing the Trissolcus, a tiny, parasitic wasp from Asia that thrives on destroying brown stinkbugs is a problem of its own.

They don't seem very fussy over invasive illegal mexicans.

Only a lib would haul basil, which weighs nothing, in a shipping container from Mexico to San Francisco instead of freighting it via train or truck.

Union job snobs. Aye, caramba!

"...the entire shipment was refused entry and ordered to be exported from the United States."

Well, that solves THAT! We'll never see ANY of that shipment again!

Good point. Pot is grown and imported illegally on a daily basis but basil must be “inspected”.

I’m surprised the Democrats didn’t want to give it amnesty.

If it voted reliably Democrat, you'd see a markedly different set of policy guidelines.

And how many shipments don’t get checked? Why do we allow produce from that horrible country?

Who cares about some pest, as long as the product was imported at a sizable profit. Get with the program, it’s about profits at all costs, consequences be damned, as long as you make a profit this quarter. If you object to this, then you are one of those anti capitalist DNC-RNC haters.

“CA is very fussy about what invasive species get into their state.”

Yes, hubby told me a story the other day - he was driving out west with some other fellows and they got stopped for inspection. They thought they’d gone the wrong way and were headed into Mexico, but it was just an “agricultural inspection” - so that was between 2 US states.

We had an Asian beetle get into California that has been killing a huge amount of trees leaving them dead and burning areas during droughts. So yes, the issue of species getting into our country is a big one, but most of these kids come in through shipping containers overseas or air, not by any of us in a car.
