HERCULES (CBS SF) — The case against a transgender teenager charged with misdemeanor battery after fighting back against alleged bullies in a Contra Costa County school might not go away.
Dan Cabral, Contra Costa County’s Senior Deputy District Attorney said he was not at liberty to talk about the case, but said he draws the line when a bullying victim takes the law into their own hands.
Words are never enough to justify fists, that’s the law,” said Cabral.
The fight happened November 14th at Hercules Middle/High school, sparked by alleged taunting and bullying by classmates.
Jewlyes Gutierrez and other teens seen in the fight – videotaped on the school’s campus – were suspended and bullying policies in West Contra Costa Unified School District were called into question afterward in community meetings.

“Bullying” is not what we understand the word to mean.
As in all things, the left twists the meaning of words in order to advance their agenda.
“Bullying” now means “expressing disapproval or even not expressing vehement enough approval of a perverted lifestyle”.
Recently there was a memo out to employees of either a gov’t or private company - “silence will be interpreted as disapproval and will be treated as such” when it came to some sort of “gay day”.

In all fairness the girls and yes they were Amish girls too, were beating what ever that person is in the school yard. Okay in this country we did once have laws about how we treat the mentally ill. Beating them in at school would have been forbidden just as beating them in a nervous hospital.
If, on the other hand, someone called him/her a name or made some un-PC remark because him/her was waltzing into the girl's loo, then that's a completely different matter.
That’s a man assaulting a woman. Period.
I’ve heard of this sort of thing. A group of people irritate their target through words, keeping below the “bullying” threshold. The target eventually reacts, and the “bullying” regulations then banjack the target using defined administrative rules. This can mess someone up worse and for longer than a black eye.
The process can have different outcomes- if the target suicides, everyone reacts one way, if the target lashes out physically (up to and including Columbine type reactions) the reaction is different, but both can have the same underlying causes.
“Bullying” is not defined the same as when I was a kid, today it’s a lefty code word that can mean many things, like not enthusiastically embracing a “transgender”. It ain’t the big kid who takes your lunch money.
I think the girls lose on the gender hierarchy according to the State Church of PC, but they win on the race hierarchy. So basically, a tie. The deviant loses because he took matters into his own hands rather than curling up into the fetal position until the authorities arrived.

so the old adage...if you don’t like something keep your mouth shut - doesn’t apply anymore...one has to be accepting and fake about a topic they don’t like - by acting like they like it...so to speak...

We still have laws in place on how to treat the mentally ill. Notice that when the homosexuals got themselves off the mentally ill list they are really no longer protected by those laws.

The real day of reckoning for the State Church of PC arrives when all the favored groups under its umbrella start getting really, really nasty in competing for their rightful share of a shrinking pie. California will probably be among the first.
We've already seen what has happened to Detroit once the favored race triumphs over the once powerful labor unions.
