An important issue in the Muslim world is how women should dress in public. A recent survey from the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research conducted in seven Muslim-majority countries (Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey), finds that most people prefer that a woman completely cover her hair, but not necessarily her face. Only in Turkey and Lebanon do more than one-in-four think it is appropriate for a woman to not cover her head at all in public.
The survey treated the question of women’s dress as a visual preference. Each respondent was given a card depicting six styles of women’s headdress and asked to choose the woman most appropriately outfitted for a public place. Although no labels were included on the card, the styles ranged from a fully-hooded burqa (woman #1) and niqab (#2) to the less conservative hijab (women #4 and #5). There was also the option of a woman wearing no head covering of any type.

4 or 5 is what I see around here at Walmart or the library. In the winter many are heavily bundled up, but in the summer, Pakistani women look beautiful in their salwar-khameez and scarves like #5.
Between my clothes and my pack of sons, they often give me the eye to see if I’m Islamic, but I usually have a cross on. My scarf is to keep warm!
In Oklahoma, I’d see women like #2 whose husbands from Arabia were studying petroleum engineering at OU.
Every woman - young or old, thin or fat, 9 months pregnant - looks good in those Korean dresses. We should all wear them ... just bring up the hems a few inches so they don’t trail in the mud.
Is #3 the bomb magnet lady?
No. There are many Christians in Lebanon.

How can you even tell the gender of this apparation? Or the identity? For all you know, it’s a terrorist who borrowed one of these turquoise drop cloths to murder patients and staff.

That’s good news, but from the decreasing numbers, you can tell that Egypt is not the only area of the ME where Christians are being pushed out.
I like sauerkraut, but the kimchee I’ve had was just too powerful for me.
Muslim men can’t deal with their urges, so take it out on women. They treat women worse than any other group on planet earth. “Honor” killings, genital mutilation, child marriages to old men. The women in the Muslim world need to stick together and put an end to this abuse.
