Well, thanks for clarifying that...for a while there I thought theirs would be a marriage that they would have to go to the Supreme Court to have ratified..... ;)

"the payoff at the end is massive and fun." That all depends on if they were actually patented with expectations, goals and values. It is extremely common today to "free range" nowadays, aka spoil, coddle and helicopter junior so that he/she becomes a sniveling, entitled, narcissistic brat with no empathy who fails to launch well past the age of 21. This generation will be the first in line to pull the plug on mom and dad, demand a large inheritance, then urinate on their parent's graves.
