Wonder where those kids are today? They look so dressed up and pretty.

Sills doesn’t care...even if she’s fired (and the chances of that happening are virtually nil), she will sit in a rubber room for a few years and eventually retire, with a bigger pension than ever (all that time in administrative limbo still counts towards retirement, and she’ll receive full pay while the “system” decides her fate.

I’m guessing that Sills’s only regret is getting caught by the NY Post. After all, she had been getting by with her little scam for years, and there’s no way school administrators were unaware of their absentee principal. We can only imagine the number of NYC public schools being run in a similar manner.

Not surprised that few parents objected, either. After retiring from the military I taught for three years in a very poor school system in Mississippi. Our slowest day of the year was parent-teacher conference day. Less than 20% of the parents showed up. Most didn’t give a damn if their kids were passing, failing or even showing up.

Wait, wait; don’t tell me! The School Board has been 100% Democrat since 1970?

that’s raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacisssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Not necessarily. These days it seems to be, but similar considerations applied during the glory days of the Soviet Union. Maybe to a lesser degree, though (and that's raisis!)

The 3rd world doesn’t have time for movies, they actually have to learn to survive.

Why are people outraged by PS 106? It is not the worst government run school by far. It is, in fact, the school of the future. The education establishment is run by incompetent bureaucrats with bogus doctorate degrees who rob children of their future and the taxpayer of their money. The civil rights goons and politicians are aware of this situation but remain silent. One of the crucial elements of the bogus Ivy League PhD programs is contract writing. The upper level members of the ed bureaucracy may be borderline literate but they know how to write an ironclad contract. Check out “Dr.” Beverly Hall, “Dr.” Kathy Augustine (hired by the DeSoto School District resigned with #188,000 for one day’s work), “Dr.” Arlene Ackerman (given a $905,000 buyout, and then went on unemployment). The Asbury Park school system was taken over by the state for mismanagement. It spent over $35,000 per student to produce record breaking scores. Record breaking low scores that is. The Justice Department is finally getting involved. They will curtain what discipline these incompetents do impose. I almost forgot to mention Otis Mathis. Otis was held up as a role model for students because of his success in spite of his “learning disability.” “You can become a well paid school board president even if you can’t read.” Apparently Otis had more than one disability. He was relieved amid allegations he masturbated in front of superintendent Teresa Gueyser during a routine meeting. Gueyser apparently held some old fashioned ideas about these matters.

Dr. Dorita Gibson will investigate and then report back to Blasio’s hand picked commie chancellor.

This is already dead on the vine.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Gerry I’ve known people from third world countries. They told me about their schools. Their schools may not have been state of the art like some of ours are but they were clean, the children were expected to come to school clean even if they only had rags and they were expected to try to learn.

Great picture.

The girls look like ladies and the boys look like gentlemen.

How on earth did we get where we are today? Oh right, the 60s.

I believe it. If a foreign country invaded and made our schools the way they are we would call it a crime against humanity
