JERRY BROWN’S TRANSGENDER BATHROOMS They may be headed to referendum.

TThe late Chicago columnist Mike Royko nicknamed Jerry Brown “Governor Moonbeam” for his flaky politics. Brown’s 1980 campaign slogan was: “protect the earth, serve the people and explore the universe.” But perhaps even Royko didn’t foresee the eccentric politics of 2014 California under Jerry Brown, which could feature, among other oddities, a referendum on whether or not to keep transgender bathrooms in public schools.

Brown signed the transgender-bathroom legislation, authored by the San Francisco radical Tom Ammiano, last fall. The legislation stipulates that students, based on nothing more than their “gender” self-perception, may choose the bathroom, locker facility, and sports team of their choice. (Brown has also signed legislation allowing people to alter birth certificates based on their self-perception.)

Since then, conservative groups have been gathering signatures for a referendum challenge. Even the crippled California GOP, normally skittish about social issues, has signed off on the challenge. Assemblyman Tim Donnelly of San Bernardino County, a Republican gubernatorial candidate, has told the press that he removed his son from a public school over this issue.

Meanwhile, the California left, with the help of the teachers’ unions, is pooh-poohing parental concerns, arguing that only the truly transgendered will make use of the law, as if that should induce parental sighs of relief.

Were Royko alive today, he might find the causes around which the “moonbeam vote” rallied in the 1970s almost quaint in comparison to Brown’s today. As the state reels from economic crisis and the exodus of businesses and middle-class families, what is Brown’s California debating? The preservation of transgender bathrooms in failed public schools.

Ever notice homosexuals are 24/7 on about sex and bathrooms? Do they think of anything else?

Have you ever wondered if Jerry Brown might have trouble deciding which one he should use?

They’ll likely get a judge to overturn it, but what the heck. This tranny law is going down if put to a referendum, and at least we’ll have taken a stand.

Politicians like Gov. Brown argue pro-choice, yet they ignore majority voters concerning gay issues like marriage and transgender bathrooms.

Just wait until some HS cutie comes home and tells her father/brother/boyfriend that she was ogled [or worse] in the girls shower by a transgender ...

Then, one or more of the father/brother/boyfriend goes and beats the crap outta the transgender ...

Then, the transgender sues the father/brother/boyfriend [or combination thereof], the school, and the State of CA ...

Then, the libs in CA say, “Well, who coulda saw that comin’ ???”

The Referendum in CA is strictly for overturning laws passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor. There is only a short window of time to do so, and once on the ballet, there is no judicial review.

Not that the dictators in black robes still won't try...

I lived in California since 1984. Are you talking about something simply being on the ballot, or something being actually voted on? I have seen several things passed and then overturned by the dirt bags in black robes.

In CA we have a Referendum, and the Initiative process. Two completely different tools that are supposed to give the voters the final say.

Referendum and Initiative/Ballot Measure are too distinct processes. Referendum is for the sole purpose of repealing laws passed by the legislature.

OK, but could the legislature simply just pass it again?

What’s it matter? The people of Kalifornia may vote it down but a black robed menace can overturn it on a whim and null the will of the people. We have seen it before.

Yes, they could, but they, as well as Jerry Brown, are running for re-election. This will be an election year issue, and I don’t know if they are really that stupid. Brazen, yes.

One thing is sure about the instrinsic nature of perversion.

It has no built in mechanism to say to itself, "OK, that will be enough. This has gone pretty far, we cannot go beyond this." Somebod more sick will also stand up and say "Me too! Me too! (regarding so-called "rights").

Nope. It (perversion in its social manifestations) just keeps pushing and pushing the moral envelope. That is because, it is a direct spawn of the Father of Lies, the King of Darkness himself, Satan.

That is why I can say with confidence that if you project out five or 10 years in Kallyfornia and other non-common sense places, they will have a bathroomd door with a man and an animal, so that they can have have privacy in a public area in which to use the facilities either for excretion or "sex acts". I am not making this up and I do not mean to turn any Freeper's stomach here--apologies in advance, but does anyone have any doubt this is not where it is heading? Think about 40 years ago about how unfathomable this transgender public toilet idiocy is. Now project FORWARD utilizing this same glidepath of social decay, to the future.

The answer is very simple. It is an easy prediction to make. It will be horrific. Cover your children's and grandchildren's precious eyes and ears, friends.

From the article, that’s what lotsa the schools are doing: making sure there are bathrooms like the picture. The schools seemed worried about it, too.
