Conservative author Ann Coulter threw down quite the gauntlet Wednesday.

After MSNBC's Ed Schultz said on his show, "Republicans, they’re afraid of me. They don’t want to talk to me," Coulter responded via Twitter, "Invite me on your show, you lying p--sy" (video follows with commentary):

Hey twist.. It appears you have a problem with Anne.. I can agree that some of her rantings have a bit more moderate slanting than most Tea Party advocates, like myself, but she is one of our dependable antagonists that keeps the left in a wad..

I’m waiting for you to replace her, with a more successful Conservative strategy, assuming you have a résumé, (name recognition, bestselling author, face-time, law degree, physical attractiveness, etc), with the chops that demands the attention she attracts..

You're right and there's really nobody like her in this regard. She has the unique ability to quickly put the lib on the defensive and then slices and dices them as they try to defend themselves. Combine this with the fact she's more than comfortable fighting them down in the mud where they like to play and she's pretty much unstoppable. But, in this regard, there's only one Ann. Every other conservative is smart just avoiding these shows.

...I said “men”. So yes, “effeminate men” etc may be confused, and may even take it as a compliment but Shultz is a bully and at least in his mind, a “he man”. Being called a “pu^^y” will leave a mark.

The only reason Mr. Ed is doing this is to try to get attention for his pathetic show that nobody watches. The last thing Ann or any intelligent person should do is go on his idiotic show, get in a screaming match and increase his ratings. I like that she accurately calls him a liar and a coward but she should not increase the viewership of his pathetic show by appearing on it.

I remember a few years back when Al Franken would include Rush Limbaugh's name in the title of his books hoping to gain some traction.
