He targeted women walking alone at night, demanding their money at gunpoint, and when one of his victims wouldn't comply, he shot her in the face, police allege.
On Thursday, police announced the arrest of Abdourahmane Seck, 25, charging him with shooting a pregnant woman outside her home during a June 17, 2013, robbery, and linking him to five more robberies across Staten Island between Jan. 10 and 14.
The shooting victim, Marisela Vazquez, 28, survived but she lost her unborn child after several surgeries to treat her injuries, law enforcement sources said.
Police are still looking into whether Seck can be linked to yet another robbery: On June 24 at 6:38 a.m., a man approached 18-year-old Alfonso Lopez in front of 63 Harrison Ave. and demanded money. When Lopez refused, the man shot him in the right hand, police said.
Police have charged Seck with attempted murder and six counts of robbery, and he's expected to be formally arraigned in Stapleton Criminal Court on Friday.

I assume that this guy is black....and his named victims seem latino.....seems racial to me...
I remember the old days when some sicilians would keep the streets safe in the boroughs.
WTH is it only "attempted" murder?
The problem isn't that they started part of the Constitution again, its that they are still so thorougly repressing the rest of it.
How could these women possible defend themselves? Why target women; smaller and weaker. Nothing says equality like a gun.
