It only works with catfish.

True story:

My mother-in-law froze a fresh caught live catfish in her chest type deep freezer. Thawed it out six months later and it was alive!..............

That happens a lot with flash frozen lobsters as well, people put them in the sink to thaw and they start moving around.

I was a commercial fisherman out of Eureka, Ca in the early 70’s (1970’s) and the salmon we caught would be gutted and put in the hold and packed with crushed ice for a week or two until we filled the hold and headed to harbor. When we unloaded the catch there was always a fish or two that still had enough fight to make you lose your grip on them! Nerves I guess.
