Roy Garber, one of the stars of A&E's reality show "Shipping Wars" has died, according to the show's Facebook page.
Garber, 49, died of a heart attack, Variety reports. He was one of the top earners on the show which pits teams against each other in shipping difficult items long distances that most couriers don't want to attempt.
Garber operated Arbies Team Transport in New Hampshire, along with his son Travis.

If you ever watched this show, this guy was one of THE coolest cats in the biz. RIP.
He was. I loved the way he was with his cat Muffy, I loved how he didn’t suffer fools. And I loved the way he delivered the Buzz Lightyear car for the two year old who lost his father cross country for free.
I couldn’t believe how he drove through NJ during the height of hurricane Irene to get to his sons graduation on time.
No idea he was only 49. Way to young, he’s going to be missed from this show. He and Muffy were my favorites.
staged reality show.
Here is a working pic...
I hope someone takes care of his kitty -- I thought that was the coolest thing...
U-ship is an actual company in Austin, TX. Are you saying all of the bids that the stars on the show are staged?
Roy didn’t take any crap and was honest with his feelings. Not many people are like that.
Wasn’t he just??? SO sad. RIP and prayers for his family.
They say so in the show. “special auctions for top shippers”. U-Ship is real and the genesis of the show story that I heard is also really cool, hint student project hits big, but the actual bidding format of U-Ship would make
it hard to create a show. As I heard it the shippers are themselves, are actual shippers much of the time. But the auction and the shipments are a bit grey in order to create a production. Not like you could open those shipments to all tens of thousands of bidders and get what you needed.
I do imagine however if you gathered a group of transporters together a lot of stories they told over a beer would be as entertaining as the show.
RIP Roy! Friends of mine met him during the stag film shipment to Austin episode and they said what you saw on the show was Roy in real life. No acting whatsoever.

I watch the show a few times. RIP Roy.
I like looking at the babe on the show.
All reality shows are staged... if you think you are seeing anything real on a “reality” show, you are completely and utterly media illiterate.
i understand that. that’s why i said it.
RIP.
His kitty is ok and will be living with his mom. I’m a cat lover and I was worried about this too.
Here is the article from last night.
