Very misleading headline. These are babies born to Thai women, whatever claims the Israeli gay couples may have.

However it seems to me this is human trafficking. That is a serious international crime.

The whole concept makes me uncomfortable. Surrogacy is controversial and its morals questionable, even when it's close to home. But this long-distance cross-cultural/ethnic surrogacy is creepy and a terrible way for a child to come into the world. JMHO

Are these Thai girls confined during their pregnancy? How else would the biological parents be assured that this child is protected? Wouldn't that be a form of imprisonment of the surrogate mother?
