When my son was about 7 I went to the Boys And They’re Toys convention in Florida (stuff like bumper pool tables, cigarette boats, high-end stereos, etc.). Sitting alone at a table (this was early Monday as they were just opening) sat a Penthouse Pet of the Month with a stack of photos. Figuring that was as close as I was ever going to get to something like this, I walked up to the booth and starting talking to her.
Nothing silly since I was married; just stuff like if the Penthouse shoot was worth it financially to her and what did she do afterwards. After a few minutes I looked at the photos (head shots not nudity) and had an idea flash into my mind. I mentioned my 7 year old son and asked if she would autograph a picture of her that I could give to him on his 18th birthday or when I would take him to college for his freshmen year.
She laughed and said sure, and then wrote: “Dear Alex, Call me on your 18th birthday for your present”, Love, XXX.
Sure enough, last August I was able to present him this when I dropped him off in Tallahassee in August. It was a fun moment between us as I related the story to him.
He’s a college kid, laugh it off. Porn stars certainly know more than pretty much anyone else the importance of not exposing themselves to physical risk, as the recent panic over a few positive HIV tests shutting down the industry show.
Umm, no they don't. They've had several scares in the past decade. Porn industry is not the same as the Bunny Ranch where the girls are tested all the time. There are a ton of low level operators in the Porn industry where they take girls off the street, pay her a few bucks for the shoot, then move on the the next girl. It's a sleazy business where girls that come from dysfunctional homes get exploited for the pleasure of men who sit back at home and view it, never leaving their of homes and expose themselves to STDs.
