The above photo has been Photoshopped by somebody for the police department and for press release, in order to SMUDGE and MAKE LESS VISIBLE:

all the bullet holes in the right side of that truck's window.

You can actually see in the un-re-touched, second photograph, that it's easier to observe THE POLICE OFFICERS CARE-LESS-NESS AND CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE AS THEY TRIED TO KILL EVERYBODY IN THAT TRUCK!

The police were not just trying to kill Dorner, the perp, rather, the police were gunning to shoot almost anybody!

The police involved, should be dismissed without pay, no benefits, and charged with ATTEMPTED MURDER.

I don't think so.

Those are evidence tags, and it appears they had not got to the passenger side of the vehicle yet. Also the images were taken from different angles and different times.

You may be right that the top photo was shopped.

But the second photo is obviously not the source. Look at the color of the tapes.
