"The Easybeats were an Australian rock band. They formed in Sydney in late 1964. They are regarded as the greatest Australian pop band of the 1960s, echoing The Beatles' success in Britain, and were the first Australian rock and roll act to score an international pop hit with their 1966 single "Friday on My Mind"....

“Memory lane... When I was a kid, a local radio station had a call-in question asking what ICBM meant; I was the first to call in with the correct answer”
I was a bit older than a kid, but I won one of those call-in things once by identifying this song (by then it was a golden oldie):

The prize was a $20 gift certificate at a used record store.
The song title "Hey, Little Cobra" would be easy to guess at, since the refrain begins with it. However, the name of the group which as far as I know was a one-hit wonder, would have required some knowledge.
The following is a great one for an "identify this song" contest, since the title isn't apparent in the lyrics:
At My Front Door--The El Dorados
This was before the Internet. Today, you could nail that one down in a fraction of a second more than the time it would take to type the title.
At the time (mid 80s), I had a copy of the Rip Chords 45, so that was a easy call.
Googling “knock knocking” took me to the El Dorados almost as quickly.
Here’s a real treat. In youtube search put:
stevie wright live 1987
It will bring up every song from that particular live performance. Someone was kind enough to do a high quality rip from this DVD:

Watch them in the order as listed on the DVD, it’s better that way. Based on the size of the venue, it must have been a great show to see in person.
