BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) Was the woman who jumped nude from the roof of a 15-story building Wednesday morning the patient of a renowned plastic surgeon?
Dr. Brian Novack is described as a plastic surgeon to the stars.
The 53-year-old unidentified woman jumped from the roof of a building in the 400 block of Camden Drive.
Sunday night, flowers, candles and notes left by strangers were left at the site where the woman took her own life.
KCAL9′s Suraya Fadel said police still didnt want to confirm many details other than to say the case is still under investigation.
What happened, what triggered this? Nobody knows, no one knows. Its a mystery, said Harold Cal, a Beverly Hills resident.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting the woman was a patient of Dr. Brian Novacks but police would not confirm this. Calls to the doctors office were not returned, reported Fadel.
Officials would only say the woman went to the roof about 7 a.m. and jumped three hours later.
The woman was described as despondent, non-communicative and that she had undergone a facelift procedure the day before.
She was reportedly kept overnight for observation. Its alleged she had a possible reaction to her anesthesia.
Lisa Vanderpump, whose restaurant Villa Blanca is across the street from where the incident happened, tweeted that morning: Sadly a woman threatening to commit suicide for the last few hours has followed thru. Terrible scene.
mental illness is ugly
You have to accept getting older. There is no way around it.
Unidentified because her plastic surgery made her unidentifiable?
How did they know the unidentified woman was 53 years old? Did they count the rings?
Sounds like whoever had the *supervising* shift, fell asleep on the job.
They sure know a lot about this *unidentified* woman....age, facelift procedure. Wonder why they're not saying who it is.
If she hit the ground nude, she left her clothes somewhere and presumably her ID would be with her clothes.
Any relatives? Big time lawsuits.
Suicide is an epidemic. Very sad.
What if the headline said: “Woman who jumped from 15-story building was a customer of Target, and bought her groceries at Safeway”
What does it matter who her plastic surgeon was?
Her insurance ran out —
“Some of us don’t carry ID, even when we’re wearing clothes.”
When I travel I carry several double postage stamp sized typed lists of next of kin, who I’m visiting, my name and address, etc. I tape these with Scotch tape on both sides in case they get wet. I put one in a shirt pocket, one in my pants pocket and one in my wallet. My luggage has a similar list.
When you die often times somebody steals your wallet, keys and anything that might otherwise identify you, like an inscribed wedding band or watch.
I do this so that if something happens my family will at least know so they won’t keep up false hope. (I assume they’ll hope.)
She appears to have been in care at his clinic at the time of her suicide.
Or as Jimmy Buffet put it in a song: Permanent reminder of a temporary feeling.
Plastic Surgery Disasters!
It’s not the fall that gets you , it is that sudden stop...
If she had a facelift the previous day, it was too soon to say it was a failure. So the drug hypothesis is the more probable cause. All drugs have side effects. Whatever she took drove her crazy enough to jump, apparently.
If she was getting a facelift, she was at least optimistic enough to expect improvements. Had reasons to want to live, apparently.
That’s my guess.
While the identity of the woman is certainly known privacy
laws and concerns prevent people from releasing her name.
When LEO decide it is appropriate THEY will identify her as
they are immune to most of the legal ramifications of speaking publicly about victims in these circumstances.
It is quite probable that the victim had mental health issues prior to surgery. Many people who undergo cosmetic
procedures have significant psychological issues.
Thought the doc implanted helium instead of silicone?
That’s very considerate of you. It’s a good idea.
Hope it wasn’t Kelly LeBrock. How many 53 yr old actresses are there out there?
Yeah, I loved it too. It’s sad that it’s never really considered in Crichton’s oeuvre.
