A drug-dealer who scored a six-figure stop-and-frisk settlement against the city ran his mouth all over Staten Island about his windfall and was shot dead by a robber targeting his riches.
Kenrick Gray a petty pusher who had 22 drug arrests was gunned down Tuesday, two years after getting $132,500 for being wrongly stopped by a racist cop.
Mr. Gray recently made known throughout the neighborhood that he received the windfall and that very foolish boast did cost him his life, a source said. Apparently, the assailant caught wind of that and tried to rob him. There was a struggle and he was shot.
Gray was targeted by robber Darren Brown on Park Hill Avenue in Stapleton, the source said.
Brown, 27, also shot Grays pal, Noland Whistleton, 41, in the leg and torso during the botched robbery. He later died, cops said.
It wasnt clear how much money Gray was carrying when he was gunned down or whether the suspect made off with any cash.
The Staten Island Warrants Unit collared Brown Wednesday hiding in the shower of his girlfriends home, sources said.
Gray landed his stop-and-frisk loot after being stopped by NYPD Officer Michael Daragjati , who was seen on surveillance after the bust bragging that he had fried another n-r.
Daragjati is serving a 57-month sentence for violating Grays rights and for an unrelated extortion case.
The rogue officer who had several other civil-rights complaints against him had to cough up $7,500 of his own cash to Gray to resolve the case.
The settlement was a well-deserved one, and not merely enough for the pain and suffering that Kenrick and his family endured by the system, his sister Danielle C.

Too bad. $125K, probably deserved, isn’t enough to move away and change your life and surroundings.
Sounds like the great wheel of karma served justice on him after all.
As W.C. Fields once said...A fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place.
Must never have read a Louis Lamour novel.
It is not a good idea to brag about your money in a bad neighborhood.
Rule #1 - If you come into money, nobody is EVER happy to hear you talk about it. :)
Kenrick Gray
But they just said he was a drug dealer. So that would make the stop right and more like the cop had street smarts and experience. But leave it to the libs in NYC to turn it around and burn tax money like kindling in a firestorm. Sooooo glad I moved the hell out of there.
i am so glad i introduced my sons to writings of Louis Lamour!
And he'll never have a 23rd. Good riddance.
A friend of mine gave me a book of a bunch of his short stories a few years ago, I literally read he entire thing in 2 nights. I couldn’t put down.
perhaps, but not necessarily... personally, i do not want "cops" having that much power... the power to get away with unconstitutional actions--if that was indeed the case... the officer seems to be a bad apple considering he is also doing time for an unrelated crime of extortion... btw--i am not saying the criminal deserved the award he received... i am not sure what the officer did, exactly (unlawful search?... using a derogatory word?)... i guess he was called on unlawful search... but then the article makes it seem he was more in trouble for the racial comment... hmmmm...
This is your brain on drugs.
Try our own Travis McGee’s (Matt Bracken) novel Castigo Cay. You will have the same problem. I suggest you start reading on a Friday evening.

Who could have guessed that a 22-time loser drug dealer’s friends would turn out to be criminals?
If Obama had a political victory it would look Kenrick’s.
