quondam (KWON-duhm) adjective
Former; onetime.

Example sentence:
"One of the assumptions Madison and others labored under was that Britain would be too preoccupied with beating Napoleon to pay much attention to its quondam colonies.

Etymology:
From Latin quondam (formerly). Earliest documented use: 1535.

My wife got us one of these Sodastream things for Christmas. I didn’t realize I was oppressing Palestinians (by giving them jobs) in the process.

Quondam spending seems to irk management, but regular, unfettered dumping of money for garbage products doesn’t seem to bother them one bit.

When I was doing research on the grant money's dime, we would always have the mad rush to spend every dime before asking for more even though we had money left over every time. A for you.

I don’t have the exact numbers on the use of the carbon dioxide, but it’s something like 25-30 cents per liter of soda made.

You get enough syrup to make 12 liters for $5-6.

They have diet Mt Dew and Red Bull knockoffs.

Especially for the energy drinks it is a big savings.

sooooo dang tired of freezing. 12 degs now but going up to 32 today, woohoo. i swear it feels like it’s 50 deg in our bedroom!
