Chinese lady angry that her car is going to get towed does something most probably wouldn't.

Inasmuch as you mention "original sin," I presume you're a Christian. "Contrition, prayer and humility" is a much-too general prescription. They need specific focus: Jesus.
What we can do for her, rather than discussing her abstractly between ourselves, is to recognize that our Lord has brought her to our attention. We should take His hint and pray for her.
I agree; probably not a Ford Edge.
Why do assume that I am not praying for her?
By the way, contrition, prayer and humility don't seem TOO general for me. They are certainly a good starting point...well, at least for me they are.
And to whom do you think I am praying? You needn't mini-lecture me on praying. I've been doing that for a LONG time.
I didn't assume you're not praying for her, nor did I assume that you were. I merely encouraged you to join with me in doing so. You still have not indicated to me, as is surely your prerogative, whether or not you are.
By the way, contrition, prayer and humility don't seem TOO general for me. They are certainly a good starting point...well, at least for me they are.
My point was: Contrition about what? Prayer about what and to Whom? Humility with respect to what or Whom? For all we know she is an atheist or Buddhist or....They are indeed good starting points, but only if properly directed.
And to whom do you think I am praying? You needn't mini-lecture me on praying. I've been doing that for a LONG time.
I have no idea to Whom you pray, because you didn't make it clear. That's why I was forced to resort to inference from your comment about original sin that you are Christian, a fact which you have still not confirmed.
Finally, I'm unaware of having lectured you at all. If my remarks gave that impression, I apologize.
What the HELLCK did she think she would accomplish?
*********************************
That ignorant tow driver was about to drag her FWD car miles and miles with the drive wheels on the pavement... Do you think he would buy her a new transmission and a new pair of front tires... both would have been destroyed ...
That tow truck driver knows nothing about towing. You put the car in neutral.......which it appears it wasn’t.
Internet fame........
I admire her spunk, but it will ruin her tranny.
*********************************************
Less damage than having that idiot tow driver drag her car with the drive wheels on the pavement.
Um, I think that was an AWD, as in all wheel drive.
Um, I think that was an AWD, as in all wheel drive.
****************************
Are not the front wheels also driven in an AWD? And aren’t most AWD vehicled “full time”? Anything but a flatbed tow would be damaging.
Indeed, and in the video the back wheels don’t appear to be turning as she drives the tandem away.
You MUST be a car insurance salesman. :o)
She COULD get you punched in the mouth by some guy who DOESN'T appreciate her, um, "style," that is, a TICKED off, temper-tantrum-three-year-old, tizzy-fit idiot.
Not a problem. Half the people on the FR seem to nothing but scold and lecture those who DON'T scold and lecture.
I'm used to it. I ignore MOST of the scolds and lectures because they are BORING and useless. But, then, many of those who scold and lecture ARE boring. They need a life. I AM so very grateful that I DON'T know any of those folks.
I guess this FR IS their life.
At least you communicate without the lecture and scold.
I can't even remember who I am supposed to be or not supposed to be praying for...the Chinese woman? No, I am not praying for her. Are you?
I couldn't care less what her faith is or if she has one. She's a grown woman who had a TEMPER TANTRUM for the whole world to see. It doesn't matter what her background was. She KNEW that what she did was wrong. SOME behaviors, like public temper tantrums by grown men and women defy culture, nationality and race...it was WRONG and we all know it.
NOW come the gainsayers.
1. Does she need prayer?
2. Do you suppose God might have brought her to your attention so that you would provide the prayer she needs?
1. Who knows. I sure don't.
2. No, YOU brought her to my attention. Unless there's something you're not telling me. :o)
Evidently, we are thinking at cross purposes, so I shall not trouble you further. I wish for you the full abundance of God's blessing.
I'm not "resistant"; it's just none of your business really. There doesn't seem to be a nice way to say that but you HAVE been persistent.
