FOREST PARK, Ga. —

Officers are supposed to pull drivers over for traffic violations, but a Channel 2 Action News investigation found traffic stops leading to a violation of another kind.

Driver after driver told investigative reporter Jodie Fleischer officers searched inside their pants while they were stopped for minor traffic violations. In several cases, the invasive searches targeted passengers who were riding in the car.

"He was like, 'Just unbuckle all your clothes,' and put his hands down inside my pants," said Terry Phillips.

Forest Park police had pulled over Phillips' wife for a suspended registration.

Phillips consented to a search. However on the officer's dashboard camera recording Phillips can clearly be heard protesting when he realized the extent of the officer's intentions.

"That's illegal, man, you can't do that. You can't do that," said Phillips to the officer. The officer continued.

Phillips filed a complaint with the Forest Park Police Department and hired an attorney.

The article is long and detailed.

I don't know what to say other than I feel like the drug war has turned cops into sexual perverts.

We have the strip search incidents in Texas, in New Mexico, and now Georgia. Where else?

‘Nearly 300 cars passed by as officers searched them for drugs.

Kassars consented to the search after being placed in handcuffs and threatened with jail. ‘

Channel 2 obtained internal Forest Park police records showing that a captain noted a unit-wide problem with violating search policies six months prior to the Phillips traffic stop. The Forest Park police chief says he has now “ramped up training in this area.”

yea that makes it all better ....right ?

epidemic

I think this has been going on a long time. Dash cameras, cell cameras, and social media are bringing it to light.

Don’t get me started, because I had a run in 30 yrs ago, as a very young women with a state hwy patrolman, and had a pro bono lawyer get him transferred to the most barren place in the state....Police sexual perverts aren’t new.

Fortunately for me, that lawyer’s wife had also been propositioned, and I was dating a local olitician....wonder how it would have turned out without those powerful guys on my side? At that time a few local rogue state policemen (in another state) were exchanging sex for tickets. I didn’t bite because I wasn’t breaking the law.

This police state attitude isn’t helping either.

I have a few stories also, but I’ll tell only one.

One cop hit on my wife while she was in the courthouse with my 5 year old, and he knew she was married. Such a disgrace.

Several sexual sadists have been uncovered working for the TSA.

Just as child molesters become school teachers, other perverts find lines of work where they can get their kicks (including doctors).

Cops can have past drug arrest records and tattoos down their arms (sleeves) as long as they keep them covered up.

A different police work works today than generations past.

The answer to this of course, is the same as it was in Europe with the Germans in the thirties and forties...

Take names and extract your justice on a personal level later.

Today, police work consists of controlling, intimidating, and killing the peasants [lawabiding citizens.

Care to see what the future holds in that regard? Go to youtube and look up videos on Germany under Hitler.
