They end up having to tell their story over and over. Even people who supposedly love them, family members and friends, will hesitate to believe them in the beginning.
Some will never accept that their relative/friend/acquaintance or famous person, is a sexual predator, no matter how much proof is given.
The only possible explanation I have for this is that it might be some sort of "Normalcy bias" in response to something shocking?
God Bless her for speaking out. It can't be easy for her to do this- Especially since she is dealing with someone from the powerful Hollywood crowd.
Sadly, most of them could care less about what happened to her, since they are morally bankrupt in the first place.

I chose to respond to your post, because you mentioned Woody is a strange dude. You don’t judge him blamed on that, but you did mention it. I think it’s an important fact that we need to be aware of kids and the tell-tale signs of abuse.
The adult men in their lives don’t have to be strange dudes. They don’t have to be outwardly deviant. In many instances, the only tip-off will be the behavior of the child in your presence. Don’t turn a blind eye to it.
If a child is doing inappropriate things with other kids, there’s a reason. Kid’s don’t become predators without some cause. Someone introduced them to these behaviors.
Now I’m not talking about normal curiosity. I think a fair amount of kids go through that. In certain settings this can get a bit out of hand. But if a child is making moves on another in an adult manner, we should ask ourselves why.
I don’t want parents or other adults in these children’s lives suspected unreasonably, so we shouldn’t go off half-cocked. We shouldn’t ignore troubling behaviors either.
I’m not an expert on this, so I’m not an expert on what the best reaction should be. I just don’t think we should dismiss it out of hand, because the damage being done if something truly is happening, can really devastate a kid’s life.
This girl sounds sincere. How do you know now? A medical exam in the day could have provided a bit of insight.
Adults who prey on children up through 17 years of age, are the filth of society. Bill Clinton going after Monica Lewinsky was a beast of a man. He about 52 and her 20, what a despicable person. And his wife, covering up as much as she could..., never would I ever consider her for a leadership position.

The young woman in the story is DYLAN Farrow.

And of course the fact that he had nude photos of her when she lived with he and Mia, which is documented, did nothing to detract from the love he garned from the hollywood leftists......
Mia Farrow reported the abuse of Dylan when she was 7 years old but neither the media nor the authorities did anything about it.
