WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities at UCLA are advising students to be on the lookout for a peeping tom and sexual battery suspect.

In the peeping incident, a victim reported seeing a black male peering into windows around 10 p.m. on January 25.

The peeping took place at an apartment near the campus located in the 10000 block of Roebling Avenue, according to UCLA police.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect that fit the same description around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday and around 11:40 p.m. on Thursday walking around the campus, also peering through windows.

The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, according to campus police.

KCAL9′s Bobby Kaple spoke to one student who said the man has come to her window several times.

“I walked in my kitchen and the blinds were closed, but out of the corner of my blinds, I could see a man, he couldn’t see me. ” said Elizabeth Koslov.

The student said she was buying pepper spray as a precaution.

Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to contact the UCLA Police Department Detective Division at (310) 825-9371.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated matter, campus police said they were also investigating a case of sexual battery that allegedly occurred during an off-campus dance party.

The victim told police she was dancing with the suspect around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 24. in the 600 block of Landfair Avenue.

She said the male hugged her and then sexually battered her, according to a police department advisory.

The unidentified female told police she left the party immediately after she was battered.

The suspect was described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and an unshaven face.

Anyone with information about this incident was asked to contact the UCLA police and reference case number 14-0178.

The student said she was buying pepper spray as a precaution.

I bet that, in these crazy times, she is risking expulsion from school for admitting that!

“The student said she was buying pepper spray as a precaution.”

She should buy a small tanto style Gerber or other such knife and keep her mouth shut about it.
