He also starred in "The Looking Glass War" and TV's "The Legend of Jesse James" before leaving Hollywood after the murder of Sharon Tate at the peak of his brief career in the '60s.
Christopher Jones, an heir apparent to James Dean who starred in such films as The Looking Glass War and Ryan's Daughter before quitting show business at the height of his brief but dazzling career, has died. He was 72.

He was gorgeous in that movie! But drugs got to him and he got weird. Married to Susan Strasberg at one time.

I just watched Ryan’s Daughter about 2 years ago and again was struck by his charisma. I’m thinking of watching it tonight over dinner. A seriously underrated movie and actor.

I just checked, I thought it might be him, he starred in one of my favorite movies of all time “Wild in the Streets”, I also liked Three in the Attic.
Absolutely LOVED that movie! Ed Begley tripped out on acid was a hoot.
Two in a row that I’ve never heard of and not seen any movies they were in. Usually I’ve at least read about them!
He truly was a great one.
The only movies I remember seeing him in were Wild in the Streets and Chubasco.
