As the Super Bowl looms over New York City, an old accusation is once again looming over Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll: It’s rumored he’s a 9/11 truther.
In June, Deadspin ran an article — republishing it last week — detailing a meeting Carroll had with recently retired four-star Army General Peter Chiarelli. The conversation, which reportedly started off friendly, escalated when the topic switched to Iraq.
“So did the discussion last year turn hostile? A source close to Chiarelli, one who wasn’t present when he spoke to Carroll, told us that it did,” Deadspin reported. “He said the general had to leave the room because Carroll had rankled him so thoroughly.”

According to Deadspin, the Seahawks coach grilled the retired general over the legitimacy of the official 9/11 story.
“In particular, Carroll wanted to know whether the attack on the Pentagon had really happened. Chiarelli—who was the top-ranking Army official inside the Pentagon when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into its western side—explained that it had,” the June report said. “He said he had lost many colleagues. But Carroll didn’t stop there. He ran through the whole 9/11 truther litany.”

The Deadspin report went on:
‘Every 9/11 conspiracy theory you can think of, Pete asked about,’ said Riki Ellison, the former NFL linebacker who now runs the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance and introduced Carroll to Chiarelli. Ellison, along with Seahawks offensive line coach Pat Ruel, was at the meeting as well. ‘And he didn’t stop at 9/11—he had lots of questions about the role of the military today.’
It does not appear that Carroll ever responded to the allegations made in the June Deadspin article.
The resurfacing of the story comes as Carroll prepares to lead the Seahawks in their second franchise appearance at the Super Bowl — in New York.
This week, popular Seattle-born rapper Maclemore also garnered attention for a tweet he sent out in 2009, saying former President George W. Bush was behind 9/11.

The one American politician who benefited from the attacks was Hillary Clinton, because Barbara Olson was one of those killed in the plane which slammed into the Pentagon.
I don't believe that anyone in the US government was involved in the attacks, but if anyone was, it would have been Hillary.

Really? We're going here on this website? Do you see any similarity in the shape of a plane and shape of a missile when it hits it's target? There's video the plane going low towards the Pentagon? Where did the plane go?
There were fires inside the building from something, to be sure. But from the films I saw and was explained by the narrator, not only were the fires well shy of what's needed to take down a structure like WTC7, but the collapse looks mights close to a take-down via demolition.

I stand corrected then.
I noticed you didn't respond to the point regarding the passengers of American 77.
I may be a fool rushing in where angels fear to trod ... I am not an engineer so all I can do is spitball like most lay people have done for the last 12 years. IIRC, the entire ground area on which the WTC complex was constructed was reclaimed land from the Hudson River. One of the footings/vaults/coffins of either WTC1/2 was cracked after the collapse and the Hudson was leaking in. Again, spitballing, it seemps plausible that the ground area's geological integrity may well have been badly weakend and could have contributed to WTC#7's collapse. Again, don't know about gas lines in the WTC area, but it seems plausible that if present in the WTC area, they could have ruptured and contributed to fires.
I agree that WTC#7 seems disturbing. But I am not even close to considering that it was an iside job by the U.S. Government.
Now, it's not nice to call people an ‘idiot. There are quite a few highly questionable ‘explanations’ on major events ranging from the JFK assination to TWA 800 to Sandy Hook to obama rising to the Presidency like he did. To take everything at face value, assuming everyone is playing it straight, is willful ignorance.
And people should care about this why?
I have friends that were there and saw the airplane come in fast and low and strike the building, exploding with a massive fireball. I don’t think they’re lying to me.

9/11 truthers need serious mental help. Ignoring physics and facts is a mental disorder.
Clearly you are completely ignorant of facts (ignorance can be cured, idiocy cannot)about WTC.
It was a LARGE complex of deep underground infrastructure (subway, shops, parking, etc.) and when the largest buildings, 1 and 2, go down physics dictates the underground was deluged with debri, shock, fire, etc.
That fire moved through the underground structure and set fire to other buildings.
Take a class.
So you’ve never seen a jet airplane? Other than the large wings what does it remind you of? You do know this is a conservative site, right? Conservatives tend to look at facts and reality.
