My Marine and I didn’t even live in the same town, so no living together before marriage. We spent a few weekends together, just enough for my future step-MIL to label me a whore.
That down hill adjustment sounds neat!
It’s sort of per diem-ish with expenses below a certain figure. And it is pretty ugly out. And I don’t get paid overseas bonus when I am in Kentucky.
That is a frightening idea-not only do I not need such a thing, but I have a preference for using my human skills-not the computerized ones of a machine-but it is fine for someone who likes to use that sort of thing. I would not even use GPS if I had it-my contractor compadre and the subs we know are the same-older trucks, no fancy stuff.
NO, THEY'RE NOT!
I’ve never kept a dog in a crate, but then I’ve never had small dogs-does it work like confining them in a room like the utility or kitchen while you’re gone? Don’t they get neurotic staying in a cage for very long?
This was a later day and she really never has accidents usually. Their “crate” is the whole laundry room.
My folks had a husky and began as a puppy putting him in there at night. Eventually it becomes more of a haven than a cage to them and they would just leave the door open. When someone came to the house that scared the dog he would retreat to his crate. Huge dog - but a few things scared him. They supposedly won’t poop in there either although I’m sure some have
“label me a whore”
Oh, good grief-what color was the sky in her world?
Moonshine allowance? Yeah no point going looking for trouble on ice.
I didn’t think they usually had an issues in there - was it the cold weather that kept her from doing her business?
She cheated on her husband to meet my FIL, then moved across country to live with him and his 15 year old impressionable son.... that is the virtuous woman who didn’t like me. ;^)
Computers are people, too. ;-)
Or rather, they are programmed by people. All modern cars have traction control. The computer senses the speed of all the wheels and can tell if one of them is sliding or slipping. They sample data hundreds of times per second and can respond by braking the slipping wheel alone and diverting power to the non-slipping wheels.
Sure, nothing is perfect and you do need to remain alert. But it is amazing what can be done with automation.
Of course, there is an “off” button because sometimes you do need to slip and slide your way out of a jam.
Husky girl has always slept beside the bed, on a pet bed as have all my dogs-MrT5 tried to get her to sleep on the foot of the bed, just like he did with our Chow, and didn’t understand why they hopped down after a minute of two-it never occurred to him that those breeds have so much fur that being on a warm bed with warm humans is the last thing they want.
I’m good without the computer, thanks-my way keeps the mind focused on the task and the reflexes sharp and quick...
That is the type that usually thinks that way-theirs was always a “different situation” from everyone else’s...
Does your car have anti-lock brakes?
Exactly
Oh, NICE. I hope she has improved since then.
Yes, and that is not the same-I still have to stomp on the pedal to engage them-antilock is just a mechanical improvement of a human operated product, like better headlights or a smoother shifting transmission.
