A police dog in Mississippi has been fired from the force, after finding playing with soda cans more interesting than drugs busts.
Police in Gulfport will be sending the Belgian Malinois dog back to the training facility he came from as Fred was found to be 'slacking off'.
Just two years ago, the city of Gulfport paid $12,000-$13,000 for Fred which included training at a facility in Kaplan, Louisiana.
Fred was trained at K-9 Unlimited in Kaplan, a school thought to be excellent for turning out well-trained and hardworking dogs.
Chief Leonardo Papania told The Sun Herald that although Fred is more than capable of sniffing out drigs, he can sometimes get distracted.
He said that situations have come up where Fred will be searching a building, but see a soda can and start playing with it instead of finishing the job.
The police department tried sending Fred back to school to train the distraction out of him, but nothing seemed to work....

Well Trained, but a “Free Spirit”.
My golden, “Glory” is weird with the empty plastic water bottles. She will bite on them repeatedly making that crackling sound. She’ll do that for a minute or so and then she will bite real hard and pop the bottle. Then she’ll remove the plastic cap with her teeth, and then remove the little ring around the neck. She always does it in that exact order. Then she leaves it and goes on to whatever she thinks her next task is.

Does he still get his pension?
Its because Fred is black and the police are racists.
Fred must have heard about ObamaCare and decided to be “liberated” from his job.
He’s on strike due to the routine shooting of his breed as sport for cops. That and he’s acting out the usefulness of his coworkers.
Maybe the drugs were stashed in the soda cans.
Translation = Whoever used the budget to buy the dog is either no longer there or in disfavor. A government anything never fails unless it’s intended to for a reason.

So I guess the dogs are union members now too? Oh wait, that can’t be the case...they wouldn’t have fired him.
Looks like he has a spirit much like my Pitador and Great Dane, who love to do doggie WWE on my bed at bed time.
The money was budgeted, and now we need to keep it in the budget, so we need a new dog! That’s how it works.
