Girl Scouts USA was a founding member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and is its largest member. In 2008 and 2009 over 60% of WAGGGS’ membership fees ($2.45 million and $2.3 million respectively) came from GSUSA.

There is much more corroboration. Tragically, liberal feminists have poisoned the once noble Girl Scouts organization with a pro-abortion agenda. All of this is to make the point that pro-lifers at large are calling for a boycott of Girl Scouts cookies this year, called “Cookie Cott 2014.” And this former Brownie is in.
Drive them out of business.

Most of the uninformed American people don’t know anything much about the GS either.
All the more reason to explain to the little girl scouts the REASON you can’t, in good conscience, buy their cookies-—and, do it before other people wanting to purchase the cookies. Educate THEM, as well.

I find this article difficult to read, hard to follow. And what is it you’re asking of social conservatives, and WHY?
Should we be berating girl scouts who come to our door saying, “your organization supports killing babies”?

It seems pretty clear to me what they are advocating is a boycott of Girl Scout cookies. That means not buying them.

A: Girl Scouts of the USA does not take a position or develop materials on these issues. We feel our role is to help girls develop self-confidence and good decision-making skills that will help them make wise choices in all areas of their lives.
Parents or guardians make all decisions regarding program participation that may be of a sensitive nature. Consistent with that belief, GSUSA directs councils, including volunteer leaders, to get written parental permission for any locally planned program that could be considered sensitive.

A: No, Girl Scouts of the USA does not have a relationship or partnership with Planned Parenthood.
Q: Did GSUSA distribute a Planned Parenthood brochure at a United Nations event?
A: No, we did not. In 2010, GSUSA took part in the 54th Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations. Our participation in that conference was the subject of numerous internet stories and blogs that were factually inaccurate and troubling. Girl Scouts had no knowledge of the brochure in question and played no role in distributing it.
