In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “Word for the Day”.

Coruscate

In. Verb

    1. To give forth flashes of light; sparkle and glitter: diamonds coruscating in the candlelight.
    2. To exhibit sparkling virtuosity: a flutist whose music coruscated throughout the concert hall.

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I know, I might’ve gotten a bit hysterical if I were you and getting that call.

Hi. Sorry to be late to class. I've been busy coruscating all over the house because I just won a bid on E-Bay for a vegetable bowl that marches my mother's china that I brought back with me from California. I've never done E-Bay before last week, and this is the first time that I've actually bid on something.

My mother had no seving pieces because she preferred silver plate (which was stolen in the burglary by meth heads). I prefer china anyway because it keeps the food warm longer.

I'm awaiting the delivery of this one too that I bought outright, without participating in an auction.

I think I'll have to cook a special Valentine's Day dinner and serve it on these dishes.

All my other dishes are blue & white, so it will be a nice change to use my mother’s Spode.

Today's our anniversary, but my husband has taxes all over the dining room table. So, a special dinner cooked by ME will have to wait until Valentine's day. We'll do a movie and dinner out tonight.

Happy anniversary, weren’t you both so cute. Our dining room table has tax stuff all over it too.

The groomer just arrived to haul Jules down to his mobile grooming van. Channy is cowering in her room fearful that she’s next. She doesn’t know that I’ll never have her groomed again bc I don’t want to tax her poor heart.

A lot of us are pretty happy around Milwaukee because the Lipinski Stradivarius was recovered intact yesterday.

Last Winter Olympics, no one coruscated beauty more than Cheryl Bernard, the silver-medaling Skip of Canada's Curling Team:

This Olympics it's Russia's Anna Sidorova:

My Canadian friends tell me the best thing about curling is you can do it while holding your beer.

Is she pretty shaggy now? Whenever Oliver falls asleep next to me on the couch, that is prime scissor time for me to clip him where he needs it.

We’ll take your word for it since the link isn’t working right now. That is good news. I’m unhappy that my youngest doesn’t want to participate in her music school recital. They are all playing Ashokan Farewell and it will need some good violin participation. We were all playing it together the other night and my fingertips are still numb. Need new calluses. Or should that be callusi?

Destiny Mall is three stories of shopping....the new end was still not full last time I was there. If it wasn’t graduation weekend I would come up and meet you for lunch. Last time I stayed at the Syracuse Hotel it had just been redone and was nice. It’s was old fashioned and classy at the time. Can’t speak for it today. That was more than 10 years ago.

the only place she’s shaggy is her leg fringe. He doesn’t really clip anything else off of them. they are hairy beasts. we brush her and have bathed her in the utility tub, and they’ve clipped her nails for me at the vet.
