Sure, the Church teaches that marriage can exist only between a man and a woman.

But Martin is pretending that that’s ALL the Church teaches on this subject.

The Church teaches that all sexual acts other than those between a husband and wife, which are apt for the generation of children, are grave matter.

There are NO appropriate ways for anyone to “celebrate unions” that include sexual acts that are mortal sins.

Martin seems to believe in pre-emptive surrender to persecutors of the Church. Just like most American bishops.

Exactly, “homophobia” means fear of the same, and yet, it is used by leftists and their media cohorts and to their ignorant followers to mean “hatred of people who love people of the same sex.”

The point is that the actual meaning of a word is irrelevant once the media has adopted the leftist definition. Conservatives have to be clear and not buy-in to the Newsspeak. Don’t use the word “homophobia” if what you mean is that you find male-male sexual activity to be vile and against nature.

The Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. Diarmuid Martin, has said that some people in the Catholic Church may be homophobic.

Any church that would not excommunicate such a person as this "arcdhbishop" is itself spiritually dead.

And such is the vast majority of churches of organized religions today.
