While Michael Sam has mostly received an outpouring of support since announcing that he is gay, his father is struggling with the news, according to a published report.

You will be seeing more of these athletes coming out as “Gay” so they can be guaranteed a contract..its to gain sympathy, Jason Collins did the same thing, to get attention from the media and to get on a championship winning team..of course ESPN was like “How come no team will take him” Uh, cause he SUCKS

Sam Sr. is just figuring out that he invested all this time to raise an NFL-playing son but he’ll never get to see any of the signing bonus.
He’s also going to catch a lot of flak at the pool hall or wherever it is he goes to hang out with the guys.
Plus, he has the same name so wherever he goes and introduces himself as “Michael Sam” strangers will go “that name sounds familiar... oh, yes! The gay football player! I remember now.”
