The former Dutch health minister who drafted the Netherlands’ law legalizing euthanasia has been found dead in her garage.

Police in Utrecht say an initial post-mortem examination to determine the cause of Els Borst’s death was inconclusive, but they have ruled out natural causes.

A spokesman said that investigators suspect that she died as a result of “an accident or possibly a crime”, but they will not know until a full examination has been completed. …
