This could become a powerhouse - or it could have (it may be too late)
But JimRob is insistent on no advertising or “selling out to the man” (like some old hippie)There is not even a facebook 'like' button here. So instead of being a place where we can read and pass on info, we are at the end of the line. When we read somethign here and comment, we are only doing it among ourselves anymore.
Sorry JimRob- but you are missing (or may have missed) a huge opportunity here.
Look at idiot sites like Salon.Com and Huffington Post. They are making millions selling liberal idiocy. You should partner up with some CONSERVATIVES businessmen with internet brains and turn this from a chat site with aging membership to a force for helping fix this country by returning to old-fashioned values, common sense, and The Constitution. Get ahold of the Koch Brothers and see if they can point you to anyone. We are all not going to live forever here.
I get more traction these days commenting on Facebook with ‘likes’ than preaching to the choir here.
I think it is time for some MAJOR change here and re-thinking, before it is too late.
I notice much lower rate of new article postings, and find myself having to look many other places for news these days.
FR used to be my sole source of news and I always seemed to be ahead of everyone else in knowing what was going on. Not so much anymore.
I won't associate with idiots that use facebook!
Jason Lewis is setting up a new site called galt dot io — this is expected to be more of a conservative/libertarian activism collaboration site.
Not sure when the site will go live, but he discusses it often on his syndicated radio show.
Sounds cool, but Free Republic will remain my home page.
I agree with most of what you said other than your willingness to use Facekook.
You said it. My arthritis is so bad I can barely crawl to my computer every morning to see if there is mayhap some good news on FR.
Please God, let there be some young conservatives coming along behind us to save America.
Seriously? FR has posters who can string words together to form coherent sentences. Why do we need a button with a thumb graphic to indicate approval?
