19 Degrees here. Hey, I’ll take it! I guess NY City is supposed to get a ton of snow. Better there than here! I hope they are prepared for it!

I was up there a couple of months ago - around 3:00 in the morning. Beautiful view. We ended up there by accident.

Got a light dusting of snow here in Indiana County. Nothing coming down now.

Just saw on tv that a historic house in Atlanta collapsed overnight because of ice build up on the roof. Only the front remains.

Good morning n’@!

About an inch plus here (east of the Burgh). We werent supposed to get anything this early...and then only flurries. Looking at the radar last night, the system was tracking much further west than earlier thought. Pgh proper may get an an inch or two today...my guess we’ll get 4-6 here (these are BIG fluffy flakes we’re getting). No delay...but roads are completely covered :-/

One of my BILs married a European gal. On their first trip here mrs p6, a few others from her family and I picked them up late at night at the airport.

She insisted on seeing the city from Mt Washington. So at maybe 2AM we were all out on one of those pods. The railing has been painted and was not dry. She unzipped her husband and started rubbing his ...Obama...in the gray paint saying “now you look like old man.”

I haven’t gone back.

Later that week we took her to the Art Festival. When she saw the fountain she tore off her top and jumped in. She couldn’t grasp that while it might fly where she was from it was not a good idea here.

And people wonder why I’m the way I am...

Shoot! I just tried to click on my name but hit the abuse tab instead. When I tried to go back I closed the page.

FWIW I did not want abuse.

Dang touch screens!

Thanks for all the tips yesterday on heater use. Thank goodness we didn’t lose power. The only tip I have for yunz are Yak Trax for your shoes/boots. They’re like minichains for your shoes and you can practically dance on ice. I also got some for my 89 year old mom a couple of years ago and she never leaves home without ‘em in the winter. She loves them.

Good news! You were lucky. Last I heard over 100,000 without power and that was supposedly a low, early estimate.

Thanks! I’m going to check out ‘Yak tracks’! I’m glad you didn’t lose power. We also keep kerosene lanterns in the house. We are pretty much set if the power goes out. The problem is heat, since we only have the 15 lb propane containers. Those won’t last long in a real power outage! At least we can cook, with a gas stove. And we have the most important thing of all - a Coleman coffee maker!

Morning! I don’t know what I was seeing earlier, but we apparently got more than I thought. The snow plow was by twice and it’s coming down pretty good right now! And I didn’t think I’d need my boots today. Yeah -right!

Something worth paying attention too. I am concerned about the possibility of an EMP attack - as some of you on this list know. Even if you think the entire thing is silly, please view the following video. It was a seminar on Homeland threats given on February 6th. It’s worth watching.

Not a single flake this season in my part of Germany. Hardly one or two nights below freezing too. Its been incredibly mild winter. Snowdrops are out and daffodils are up but not blossomed yet. Going to be loads of bugs this year!

BTW - any news on Q&R ? I’ve not seen anything lately....
