Max scampered upstairs to his bedroom with his 23-year-old mother, Lisa, and re-emerged several minutes later wearing a dark blue, knee-length dress decorated with pink flamingos.
He swiftly grabbed a blonde-haired doll, sat her in a pink plastic pram, and took her on a short walk, stopping only when it was time to pretend to breastfeed her.

These “parents” are confused losers. They are abusing their child. Most likely he will axe murder them years from now.

Sounds like Daddy is living a girly childhood vicariously through little Max. One-year-olds aren't great at dressing themselves and would need a lot of help to don fairy wings and a tutu. (Starting with whack-job adults buying the articles in the first place.) Sorry, Max is just too young to have been actively clamoring for little girl clothes and toys without a great deal of coaching.
The pic of him in a long dress pushing a pink stroller was scarily reminiscent of Norman Bates dressed as "Mother."

Agree! What’s wrong with the parents’ mental processes?
Also saw that the boy-thing was only ONE year old, so how is he going up the stairs and later pushing a baby doll around in some pram? ....Few kids are that mobile at that age and most usually just sit around and create foul odors and require a hosing down to remove the source of the odor.

Hemmingway’s mom tried to raise him as a girl. He suffered from classic PTSD and if you read his books in order you can see how he suffered. It wasn’t from being raised as a girl, which he hated, but because he witnessed another person being obliterated by a bomb and being wounded while an ambulance driver.
It is abuse when your parents don’t support and nurture who you are with discipline so you can make wise decisions when you grow up.
Probably turn out to be a serial killer/sadist/sexual predator due to lack of an identity of who/what he is.
