Depends on what you want. To work? To retire?
I am now somewhat biased in favor of east/north east Texas. no income taxes, gun friendly, some decent sized towns, reasonably priced homes....

If you can stand the heat, Texas.
If you can stand the cold, Wyoming.
If you can’t stand either, probably Central Florida as long as you can stand the humidity.
A return to the free market can trun any and all of those around in no time flat. Even a partial return would turn us around.

You can live in a town with no streets or road access where you need a boat or a plane but not a car or truck if you like.
Hunting and fishing like no place else.
No taxes, the state pays YOU annual permanent fund dividends.
Gun laws? What gun laws?
Low population density makes people friendlier.
If you don't want company you can easily be alone; really alone.
If you do want to socialize there are lots of small, very small and not so small towns to visit or live in.
In Sitka, Wrangell and some other towns you can still smoke in a bar.

Central Florida is often swarming with poor blacks and Messicans. Crescent City’s graduating class is over 85% Messican.
Colorado - small towns with friendly and helpful folks. Clean air, fresh water, beautiful landscape and low taxes and zero crime.
I’d like to see a conservative, such as Sarah Palin, settle in the White House. I’d like to see about a dozen more conservatives settle in the US Senate, and about 40 more in the House. I’d like to see more conservatives settle into the Governor’s mansions of the various states. There are lots of good places for conservatives to settle.
The air isn’t clean anymore. lol
lol... but the weather is mild here. The Rockies block ketabatic winds from the Arctic and I actually feel slightly too warm in a down coat. Still a great place to live coming from California.
Best thing about Colorado is the near zero humidity.
