The US Gov’t sold all of their GM shares in the past few months locking in a loss of about $10B, IIRC. Holden is the Australian subsidiary of the former Gov’t Motors.

Toyota was the last auto maker to schedule shutting down production in Australia after about 2016 (following Ford and GM and some other Japanese makes) due to inability to compete with cheap labor I nearby Asian countries.

Australian labor unions screwed themselves out of their jobs by refusing to agree to moderate concessions.
