You may think that, Mr. Rahn, but I couldn't possibly comment. :-)

A couple of things struck be. They (the Dems) called the Tea Party ‘stubborn’ in trying to swing RINO votes.

It doesn’t paint Pro-Lifers in a positive light.

One such ‘threat’ in the second season was a returning vet.....wife had an abortion.....wanted to ‘get back’ at politicians by planting a bomb.

This is the 2nd season.

They also painted Libertarians a nutjobs in the first season.

Good one. Yes, HOC is more even handed than most shows. Knocking both sides.

The funny part is the press going after the Democrats. Talk about fiction. They even had Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow going after Democrats. Now that is funny.

The same thing for the West Wing.

Reporters asking tough questions of Democrats. A laugh a minute.

Yeah, no kidding! Hahahahaha! The “press” going after anyone. Also “FU” remarking on the Ed Sec “two steps left of Karl Marx” was hilarious, too. Like the Dems REALLY caring about that.

“FU” is depicted as a “Blue Dog” in this one.

I loved the British version when I lived there and saw it. Unfortunately, he was depicted as a Tory.

It is true that they specifically identify Democrats as committing very serious criminal acts and a slew of unethical and immoral acts.

Republicans are stupid and incompetent, theoretically not criminal acts.

I have to say that the series is a bit hard for me to watch because of the sexual perversion. The original British version was only ‘suggestive’. It kinda kills it for me a bit. But, regardless of that, the script is very convoluted and you have to follow closely all of the characters and sub-plots......as they have tried to make this into a lengthy 3-parter with many chapters. The UK version was not as long.

The original is so much better, IMO.

Although certainly on the extreme with the murder of fellow congress man, etc, it definitely shows DC as a real cesspool. For that, it backs the Tea Party vision of a smaller less powerful government. This probably isn’t the intent, but it is a result. In the plot lines, it centers around the Democrats, but doesn’t show anyone else in a good light either.

It is rather like the old TV show, Dallas — backstabbing, conniving, more backstabbing, and lying, with an occasional body.

Very entertaining.

It does take an occasional jab at the TP and GOP.

Something that attacks all sides evenhandedly is ab out the best conservatives can hope for unless they actively try to fight the culture war themselves. I like how this video explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKT7OP9lXR4&list=PLFBBEA3739682E960

As far as inappropriate material goes, some shows that have material that could be called highly inappropriate also have great values hidden among the wreck. South Park, despite being 400 different kinds of vulgar and crude, is a better show for kids to be watching than just about everything classified as children’s tv nowadays.

Me either.

There are a million other shows where loud liberal actors try to explain conservatism.

The kind of "business" going on in that show is happening in both parties. One could switch the parties of the characters, switch a couple of the bills being worked on by those characters and people would scream this is just another left wing hit job.

The reality is that our government is for sale and has been for a long time.

One of my favorite scenes is when Kevin Spacey gets that Jack wagon, who won’t work with him, to punch his nose and leave a crime scene all over his shirt.

Game over and felony.

“I now own you and you will do such and such”.

Spacey’s character and that of Robin Wright are the ultimate cynical couple making blood sport of DC and enjoying a marriage of mutual contract and certain conveniences.

Kate Mara is hot.

I’d hit that in a New York Minute or be all over it like white on rice .

Excellent series and look forward to season two.

This show is realistic enough about how rotten the Democrat party and Washington DC are. There is some gratuitous perversion such as a Secret Service agent kissing a man as they ease into sex that is not shown. Gotta keep the show edgy!! (and stoooopid)

Some lesbian sex is shown.

One thing that is cool is the Democrat president-— half his screen time is his presidential duties. The other half is party politics. It shows the president as just another political operative most of the time. I have no doubt that Obungu is even worse with the majority of his time being spent on Democrap politics and fundraising and a fraction of his time on being president. That this is why the Benghazi disaster took place
