How are you liking the Roku? Do you have to pay a lot for the content?
What will BO do about the Ukraine and Venezuela? It will be the exact opposite of what should be done.
He and the ratz took a big hit yesterday on the minimum wage, LOL!
Morning p6! We are thoroughly enjoying the ROKU! Found some good movies that we would have never watched. The only thing we’ve chosen to pay for is the Netflix for $7.99 a month. I never knew anything about Netflix. Never paid attention. We are definitely getting our money’s worth! We can watch most of our favorite shows. In fact, we found the entire series of Larry the Cable guy. We’ve found plenty of content on the free channels. We’ve barely watched ‘regular’ tv at all! We may be transitioning to basic cable soon.
Good morning n’@!
We were given a Roku for Christmas by son& fiance...only reason why we don’t use it more is because the xBox is hooked up to TV (we have still need to get a better tv—we settled on 55 inches—and there is a BHGarden “build it yourself stand” on WallyWorld on line, just need the $$$). Anyways to use roku the xBox live configuration has to be unplugged and redone for play. But the reason for the rambling explanation...LOLZ have you found Root Sports? Our ONLY reason for keeping low tier cable is Penguin/Pirate games. IF we could be assured we’d get those, I’d be nonComcastic in a flash!
And I saw on the end of yesterday’s thread about the EQs in OK ..quite a cluster last night late (was up hacking w/this awful cold). There ARE known fault lines there, and some of what I read was a concern that the water table (xxxxxxx<- can’t remember actual name of aguafier) is running dry and shallow quakes are the result.
I’m off today so I think I’ll catch up on Kiev and Venezuela. Barry’s weakness is showing its diasterous results.
We still like Fox News Channel. I was looking at Comcast digital extended basic. We’d keep Fox, but drop some of the more objectionable stuff (I don’t want to pay for Penthouse or some of the other crap on the Digital Preferred.
When I went to the Roku website they implied you could get Fox news and A&E. Is that true? We get Fox on our blue ray player and another tv device but it’s not live and just a few short segments.
We do have the Fox News channel marked but it’s older shows and interviews, not the current shows. We like Fox and Friends but don’t get to watch much during the week and it would be nice to get the show the day after, at least. I’ll have to check about A&E. We have it marked, but it might be just clips. Some of the channels just show clips.
I think we have extended Basic (or whatever they call the lowest tier that carries the ALL important Root sports). PaDad watches TheFive, Brett Baier, and the his “crush” Greta. Every night...unless there is a game on...then he has to DVR GVS and watch her show before he goes to sleep. HAS TO!
I know PaDad likes some of the religious shows on Roku...and he does the unplugging/replugging of the “boxes” to make it work. Our xBoxLive playing son HAS a tv that HE bought in his room...but, it’s hooked up to be his screen for computer (old laptop he rebuilt). Other than his TV our other stuff is about 7 yrs behind current (like extra & accessible ports) tech.
I know...awful to whine about.
