Band will kick of their 14 On Fire tour at Abu Dhabis du Arena
Marhaba Rolling Stones! Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie are ready to start their 14 ON FIRE tour on Friday night at Abu Dhabi's du Arena on Yas Island. (Facebook) The long awaited moment has finally arrived the iconic Rolling Stones have finally step foot in the UAE!
The UAE has seen some giants of rock perform on its shores Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Metallica and Bon Jovi to Eagles.
But in terms of rock legends, this act is it.
The Rolling Stones will kick of their 14 On Fire tour at Abu Dhabis du Arena, Yas Island on Friday, February 21.
Mick Jagger had earlier said: Can't wait to be back on stage especially in Abu Dhabi, I am really looking forward to playing all your favourite songs and seeing you all very soon.
Keith Richards added: The best place in the world for me is out on that stage. Standby everyone...its back to where we belong, Me, Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and some friends all rocking out together. The wheels are in motion and were on our way see you very soon!
Look for a set packed full of classic Stones hits such as Gimme Shelter, Paint It Black, Jumping Jack Flash, Tumbling Dice and Its Only Rock N Roll, curated with lesser known gems, plus a couple of unexpected cover versions.
Where are the rest 9 of them?
oh....I thought some travelled in cargo....
I wouldn’t mind going to the UAE, if just to fly the 2 airlines.
Rolling bones is more like it, lol.
What’s their average band members age now-—70? These geezers are milking it for all its worth.
Looks great! Beats my last flight to Vegas, that’s for dang sure.
Singapore Airlines has a stateroom/suite option on some of their flights. I have no idea how much it costs, but it looks quite comfy. It even has a full size bed to stretch out on.
I’ve flown Emirates first-class. Very nice. Very, VERY nice. Best flying experience I’ve ever had.
They must have found a nice nursing home there to settle.
I will be doing that later in the year. To Abu Dhabi on board Ethiad in Business, return in First.
Get these dudes back in the studio with Andrew Loog Oldham and Phil Spector!
Flying used to be enjoyable in this country, too at one time. I’ll bet no grandmothers or children get groped to get on a plane there or be forced to be viewed naked in one of those scanners. No, to those godless socialists that would be an invasion of their privacy. But it’s standard procedure here in the [snicker] land of the free and home of the brave. [/snicker]
The way planes are now the grope is often the highlight of the entire trip!
The Steel Wheelchairs Tour.
Here’s a sight to check out airfares on. They scan all the sights to find rates. After you get your price, you can take the info and go to your agent for your agent to buy the tics.
Still...I'd LOVE to try a Singapore or Emirates or Etihad suite.
What’s on the backstage rider?
What does the UAE prohibit?
I’ll send you a pic of me chilled out in an Ethiad suite.
God bless them. I hope I have that much energy and love of life at that age.
Etihad Business class
Etihad Boarding Music
I don’t know about you, but for me, anticipation is half the fun of a trip. Here are some vids of Etihad Business Class to help look forward to to what you get to look forward to.
Also, Etihads boarding music. Etihad and Emirates both have great boarding music. Nice, soothing, dreamy. Something good to have in the background, remind you of a past trip or inspire you for an upcoming adventure. (Whenever I travel, I always try to view it as an adventure)
Oops, missed the boarding music link
Very cool. I can’t wait!
Now in Tokyo . They played their first night at sold out Tokyo Dome ( 55,000 ) on Wednesday , with 2 more concerts at the Dpme on March 4 and 6th before heading to Macau , Shanghai , Singapore , Australia and New Zealand !
