None of her property belongs to the state. There are relatives and it goes to them.
The idea that they can sue her estate is some lawyer looking to collect a fee. Since when can you confiscate an estate?

My understanding is that multiple fundraisers were held for the families of the children killed at Sandy Hook and each one of them has received a good settlement.
As far as I know not one lawsuit has been filed agains’t the school by any family which is unheard of in these kinds of cases. I wonder why not?
I’m glad. Why should the victims be able to sue another victim? Her son was an adult. Sue HIS estate.
I certainly don’t expect to be held responsible for the actions of my adult children. Once they are 18, they are on their own.
