My Dad is elderly and is non applicable. I have and do fight by Brother in like manner. He is a jailer and I taught him a few things that helped him in his profession.
If nothing else MMA is research and development for those in law enforcement.
When it comes to self defense I would think conservatives would be even more inclined to learn and practice it than the more pussified liberals.

I like Demian.
Odds makers have been prophetic, but I will go out on a limb here with Maia.

those five minute rounds don’t seem much to the average fan but if you’re one who’s doing the fighting it can seem like forever.

Daniel Cormier (13-0) vs. Patrick Cummins (4-0)
Cormiers debut at Light Heavyweight.
Daniel C absolutely kicked ass at Heavyweight but he trains with Cain Velasquez and would not even consider fighting his friend so he dropped a weight class to 205.
I believe he will destroy this division.
I totally called that one.

Women's Bantamweight Championship
Ronda Rousey (c) (8-0) vs. Sara McMann (7-0)
Excellent match up.
Rousey odds on favorite in a big way.
Normally I would predict Rousey by submission round 1 (by armbar) but she has been working on her stand up and wants a KO.
That changes everything giving McMann a fighting chance.
This fight could go either way. Sara has as good of a chance as anyone short of Chris Cyborg.
This is a history making fight being a womans mma main event.
Edge goes to Rousey.
