A referendum to overturn a California law that gives transgender students the right to use the public school restrooms and locker rooms of their choice will not appear on the November ballot. […]

… They needed a little less than 505,000 (signatures) to force a public vote on the law and submitted more than 619,000, but county election officers found that fewer than 488,000 of the signatures were valid.

Exactly. They could have gotten a million signatures, and it would still have been ruled invalid.

Amazing how quickly they determined validity. Liars.

What difference does it make anyways?

A democrat appointed judge will just overrule any pro-family amendment anyways...

One of the dirty secrets is that transexuals rarely cut off their penis.

Ask yourself why?

Prop 187, Prop 8, Prop 209...Democracy is dead in California.

If Brown and his deranged Rat buddies don’t like it, all stops are pulled out and the will of the people is DOA.

It’s nauseating to listen to these SOBs congratulate themselves on how they are down for the people.

This isn’t “Transgender Rights,” it is a bill enabling rape under the guise of “Transgender Rights.”

but county election officers found that fewer than 488,000 of the signatures were valid.

The rest of them were boxed up and sent to Minnesota for Franken's next election?

Last I checked this was a representative Republic, not a rule-by-referendum Democracy.

There’s a radical wing of feminism that has been in on this charade for at least a decade. They know that many of these men are heteros using “transgender” to get ahead in careers run by liberals and/or simply trying to get into women’s rest rooms to watch women.

If it doesn't make the Nov 2014 ballot it will make the next one.

I ascribe this to an incompetent and quick signature campaign, not to whether it is possible to gather sufficient signatures to qualify.

Once qualified it is likely to pass with at least 80% of the vote.

Even in California.

Can you imagine the ads for it? Better, can you imagine the ads against?
