Hunger Ravaged Starving Hordes Gather In Syria: “The Devastation is Unbelievable”
SHTF Plan ^ | 2/26/14 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 02/26/2014 4:09:08 PM PST by Kartographer

For most Americans the crisis is over. For the people of Syria, war rages on and the fight for survival continues.

According to The Daily Mail, over 120,000 people are without food, water, medicine and essential services in Syria’s capital city of Damascus. Many are starving to death. Humanitarian aid has been slow to come amid complications with Syrian leadership, continued fighting in the country and the sheer size of the population requiring assistance.

This is what it looks like when a country’s entire infrastructure is completely destroyed and its safety nets fall apart.

People searching for resources as far as the eye can see…

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.” Isaiah 27:13

Three things are mentioned here along with “in that day” meaning I believe within the context of the day of the Lord, the end of the age,

1. Believers are “ready to perish in the land of Assyria”
2. there are “outcasts” from the land of Egypt
3. The “great trumpet shall be blown”

I believe the ‘Great Trumpet’ is the Trump of God Paul mentions, and is in fact the same one from Exodus 19, being blown the second time,

Pray for those Christians suffering persecution in Egypt and those attempting to escape the fighting in Syria and in all of the middle east to the Ukraine and to Venezuela,

Pray for the the peace of Jerusalem,

Yep. I'm afraid so. I gave away 30 day food packs for Christmas to the older grandkids. I got a couple of funny looks, until I told them you don't have to wait 25 years to use this stuff, but I want a review on everything you use. Let me know what you like or dislike about it. About a month later, round roast was selling for $10/lb. in the stores (boomtown prices), and this is a food producing region, too. With the large influx of people from elsewhere, I no longer have as much faith in their abilities to survive winter without power, but then I have been surprised at some of the folks walking in bitter wind chills with relatively few clothes on. They have acclimated well or are simply fairly tough. You do what you must.

All the preps in the world are nice, but won't mean a thing if/when the torches come out--although ability to defend your position will. Everyone should have a plan to be mobile, a realistic one, with arms, food, and gear--something they can carry. weigh the load, get weights and stuff them in a pack and wear it around the house a little. It will give you an idea of whether your plans are realistic or not (most are not). You will be able to tell where people went by the trail of discarded stuff, at least for the first couple of miles...

As for me, I pray I have enough wisdom and knowledge to be valuable to a community of snake-eaters somewhere, I'm too gray around the muzzle to hump a ruck very far on a daily basis, and would hinder any fast-moving column.

A large chunk of that wastage is spoilage of perishable foods and a lot of it happens during the supply chain. IIRC a story said it was about half the food is wasted in the US but it is not like people are just tossing food away intentionally. By the time food reaches your home you aren’t tossing out half of what you have under normal conditions. Of course the degree of how finicky you are varies as some will toss a bruised banana and others will eat it. If you live in third world conditions you might scavange for food in garbage dumps.

Thanks Smokin’ Joe,

Many prophecy watchers have always assumed it would come instantly, as if in one day, and yet here it is over many months, it appears to be a ruinous heap already, if those pictures from the link are accurate,

That's a very interesting take. Does the ruin of Damascus mean it is leveled by a nuclear bomb, as I think many have thought? Or, is Damascus, by way of the pictures in the article, now, in fact, a ruinous heap?

Remember one of Obama’s favorite quotes “White folks greed leaves the world in need”.

Obama went on to talk about a cruise ship throwing away more food in one day than a Haitian sees in their life.

It doesn’t make any difference to their objective as to where the food is being “wasted” as they claim.

With their claim, the objective they are working into with a step by step progression, is because Americans are wasting food, people around the world are going hungry.

Americans need to stop wasting food.

Their objective, they want to control the food supply.

It’s all going to be presents as King Zippo, being such a great leader, addressing the skyrocketing cost of food.

It will start off with people being told it’s to stop “waste” of food which causes the price of food to skyrocket.

Then it will progress to “rich people” and Preppers, “hoarding” food they don’t need and driving up the cost of food for everyone else.

Preppers will then become another word for “the rich”.

Notice what they are doing in California?

They are shutting off water to farmers to drive up the price of food.

The food stamp crowd will be presented as the model citizen because they only buy a limited amounts of food and only in amounts they need. They don’t buy food they don’t need and hoard it like the “rich” and “Preppers” do.

Anyone paying for their own food without govt assistance will be called “rich”.

Prepping will be called “hoarding” and “hoarding” will be called “waste”.

The left mindset in this country isn’t any different than the left’s mindset in any other country.

Absolute control of the people is always their objective.

Control the food and you control the people.

“White folks greed leaves the world in need” one of Zippo’s favorite quotes.

“It’s those rich white folks countries wasting food that causes shortages for everyone else and causes the price of food to be out of reach for other folks”

That’s where they are headed with the “wasting food” stories.

Bank on it.

To cut to the bottom line of preparing, assume there is no power and won't be any power, then prepare to replace what no power takes away.

I've come to accept the truth that we are God's children and, like the benevolent Father He is, I believe He'll take our toys away from us, if for no other reason than to get our attention again.

Fortunately, we have a rich and not too distant history full of all sorts of muscle powered mechanical devices and food prep and storage in a non-electrified world.

Unfortunately, far too many are clueless about this history and want nothing to do with anything less technical than an smart phone.

Thanks and gratitude go to those like Kartographer for being our modern Noahs and speaking to ears that can hear.

Here you go...as you predicted:

31 Percent Of All Food In America Is Wasted – And Why That Is About To End

According to a stunning new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, nearly a third of all food produced in the United States gets wasted. We are probably the most wasteful society in the history of the planet, and we are also one of the most gluttonous.

That’s one of the things I read the other day which leads me to believe they are going after the food.

Bill Clinton started this crap of controlling the amount of food people can buy because of “waste” and causing food prices to go up, sometime back in 1992 or 1993 IIRC.

When the Moocher first started her “healthy eating” and “healthy food” campaign I knew they were going to be targeting the control of what and how much food you could buy or even have in your possession.

What bothers me too is how you define waste. I compost my veggie and fruit waste, so while I don’t eat it, I don’t consider it pure waste.

America 2024:

According to The Daily Mail, over 120,000 people are without food, water, medicine and essential services in America’s capital city of Washington, DC. Many are starving to death. Humanitarian aid has been slow to come amid complications with Democratic and GOP leadership, continued fighting in the country and the sheer size of the population requiring assistance.

This is what it looks like when a country’s entire infrastructure is completely destroyed by civil war, and its economy and safety nets fall apart under 33 trillion dollars in debt.

People are searching for resources as far as the eye can see. Last Century’s Great Depression and the previous century’s War Between The States were mere disturbances compared to this.

I’m old but healthy. I could possibly live 10 more years.

The future scares me to even consider. I seem to be unable to plan for the long term that it might take to actually come to this scenario.

I am not at all sure what you describe is impossible, or that it is possible for me to survive.
