The original “Flight of the Phoenix” should be in the top 5.
“13 Hours by Air” (1936) is an old favorite.
What about “Spirit of St. Louis” (1957), even though Jimmy Stewart was WAY too old to be playing Lindbergh?
Top Gun with its homosexual overtones is not better than Airplane!

All kidding aside, I quote Airplane! more than any other movie I've ever seen. Just thinking of it makes me smile.
