Here is a help site for all things video.
http://www.videohelp.com
Software from site plus they have many how-to’s

Searched on: copy youtube videos to dvd

Using Firefox I use the following:
Flash and Video Download
http://www.fnvfox.com/
After installing you right click on the toolbar and click on Customize. A window opens and you drag the icon to the toolbar either at the top or the bottom of your screen. When a video starts you can click on the file you want and save it.
DVDFab http://www.dvdfab.com has several programs that are easy to use. Some cost money but worth it for the ease of use.
You can also try AVS Video Converter

For $59 you get many tools.

All free programs.
Convert your dvd to mp4. 720 x 480.
They look great when played on my 42” tv.
DVDFab HD Decrypter - to remove encryption. It copies the dvd to a folder on the computer. It takes about 20 minutes per dvd. http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm
Handbrake - it converts to many formats. Common is from dvd to mp4 http://handbrake.fr
VidCoder - it is a better interface for Handbrake that makes seperating the individual episodes easy.
Example: Chapters - 1 of 1 then click on Add to Queue then select 2 of 2 etc. then click on Encode.
You need to install Handbrake as it works with it. VidCoder is much faster then Handbrake in converting. I did six 25 minute episodes of a tv series in 18 minutes.
Handbrake takes about 3 times longer and trying it to setup automatic batch does not always work.
