Nadia Verdoni, 42, was charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene involving death and tampering with evidence.
A Pompano Beach woman was arrested after she struck and killed a motorcyclist Friday, then fled and tried to cover up the evidence, deputies said.
Nadia Verdoni, 42, was charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene involving death and tampering with evidence, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Verdoni turned left from North Federal Highway onto Northeast 4th Street on a solid green light and struck 30-year-old Benjamin Piorsky who was traveling southbound on a motorcycle. Piorsky had attempted to brake, but struck the right rear of Verdoni's Ford SUV and was ejected on impact.

Verdoni then fled the scene, but deputies found her at her home attempting to hide the damage to her car with a tarp, according to BSO.
Broward country where I live, is a liberal sewer.
The zombies here elected alcee hastings and keep electing mayonaise-head. All you need to know.
Beautiful weather, too bad I’m surrounded by morons.
Well, to be fair, we are of barely more import than squirrels, you know.
First read through of the title: “Mein Gott! She’s a supervillain! Not only did she hide the evidence, she his deputies as well! That fiend!”
Then I resized it was simply stating that the deputies were saying she his evidence.
Editor needs a beatdown.
Motorcyclists shouldn’t be allowed on the road.
If the answer to one or more of these questions is yes, it will be obvious that Benjamin Piorsky was solely at fault.
If the answer to all three is no, then obviously the fault will lie with Benjamin Piorsky because he was riding a motorcycle and probably did not have on a helmet or something along those lines.
But obviously questions 1, 2 & 3 must be answered first.
Motorcyclists shouldnt be allowed on the road.
You are an idiot.
Too good of a chance to get hit by hostile drivers.
You are an idiot.
Having lived in Broward County at one time....that's good advice...
I can tell you story after story of watching senior citizens who are no more capable of driving a car safely on the road them me flying a F-35...
I won't ride a bike in any of South Florida if you paid me...
While she had drunken sex repeatedly with her barfly boyfriend for 18 hours and would keep going to the garage and apologize to the moaning man in the windshield.
We tried keeping to the treetops but branches kept getting caught in our spokes.
I think you just like saying Nadia Verdoni.
Mr Piorsky, like all bikers, is naturally at fault for the crime of trying to inhabit the same space that a car driver desired to inhabit, themselves.
Bikers should be on the road if they’re willing to take their chances. I have a 1977 Triumph Bonneville and a Harley Low Rider in my garage, and I’d rather ride than do (almost) anything else.
We should be given unobstructed and unlimited use of all sidewalks and golf courses.
You know the rules.
Post pics of the Bonneville or it didn’t happen.
[my first bike was a cherry, stock Bonne...stupid me sold it for house repair supplies. stupid stupid STUPID]
The basement scene from Silence of the Lambs “it puts the lotion on its skin!”
She’s making a deputy suit!
/ baaad joke.
And...now my screen has spit on it.
