The BBC drama controller has said there are not enough gay characters on TV.
Ben Stephenson, who is himself gay, called on writers to come forward with more stories which focus on homosexuality.

It wasn’t Rohm’s homosexuality that got him killed. Hitler could care less about that, he was a rival, who had to be done away with to get the support of the Army and the investor classes Hitler needed to build his war machine.
It’s high time the public started running candidates who reflect their values, not that of the swishy Left. It’s high time the public started voting with their pocketbooks. The media is dominated by the Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and is complicit in destroying family, community, nation and world. These people need help, but already made it illegal to help them! There is no way they will not with time devolve into a sick heap, but the devastation they are bringing on families and communities is in full swing now.
Hence, the demise of t.v.

Gays don’t figure as much in London culture like they do in NYC and Hollywood. Which is why London still has the greatest theater in the English-speaking world. I wonder if that’s going to change now.
This is the reason I stopped watching several shows on Sci-Fi. Of course I am also against gratuitiopus heterosexual sex scenes as well. If you need it to move the story fine, but after that get better writers.
Can’t even escape it in sports. ESPN Gameday did two Clemson games last season, Georgia and FSU. For the Georgia game they gave us one of the gay guys off of “Modern Family” as a guest picker. They kept explaining that he was a good choice as he’s a Kansas State fan, a team we’ve never played and has almost no connection to Southern football. I realize they were trying to push their ABC show but they could have given us Ed O’Neill (from the same show ) who at least played college football. Was my opinion that they were indeed trying to gay it up.
For the FSU game they learned their lesson and had actor Bill Murray as guest picker. He’s co-owner of the Charleston, SC RiverDogs and his son Jackson Murray goes to Clemson.
Why not - On TV every white guy has a black best friend so why not a gay best friend too!

It’s a joke between my wife and I when watching one of her HGTV shows about selling houses, there will be at least one homosexual couple among the prospective buyers. Either homosexuals are about one third the people buying houses in Latin America, or the HGTV people are deliberately skewing the numbers to make it look like there’s a lot more homos than there really are.
Virtually one whole season of “The Sopranos” was ruined when the writers decided to make the problems of one Mafia character who was a homo the story for many episodes. The wife and I were really glad when the character finally got killed off...but not quick enough.

I’m waiting for a show depicting the travails of a crippled, black, lesbian dwarf. I don’t think that’s been tried yet.

I also believe they stretched it out too long but I guess they were getting to the point to end the show or get Tony ‘wacked’ .... Then the ‘last season’ would have been for Antiny Jr to take over OR as suggested in a trip to Italy, Meadow take over????
They went overboard on Vito BUT I think the intention was to show that they all had another side...(HA)
Even though the IDL was ‘against’ the show I had suggested use the same characters and give them names like Kelly, McGuire etc...
Notice the Blacks portrayed in the show were also ‘criminals’ with the exception of the ‘Elder Rev’ and ‘the Cop’- Charles S. Dutton (Rock)...I had met him shortly after his episode and ‘suggested’ (who am I Costanza?) a script with him turning and going into Tonys ‘club’ as a driver while being(supposedly a disgraced, fired policeman)

Guess the ‘kiss of death’ on the Sopranos is the BNG that got featured was sure to get wacked.....
