I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President it sickens me. It's lost its sense of community and has ran off many a good person. Heck even the Tea Party seems to be distorted here.
Unlike libs, conservatives like to eat their own. It would be amusing if it weren’t so disgusting....

Here is an example of exactly what I am talking about. “Norm” here assumes I have “PDS”, yet Norm here likely doesnt know or hasnt read the thread I am talking about. SO of course I am the bad guy.

She was the first VP candidate the Republicans ever put up.
Can’t be more of a trailblazer than that.
Rebus really shows himself stupid in deliberately leaving her out, which he clearly did for his own reasons.
He should have mentioned her, he looks small this way.
Well, I have found there are certain topics I don’t even bother bringing up just because people jump in and start hammering you.
It isn’t even worth the effort.
Don’t know what compelled this opus, but being hammered for speaking in less than glowing terms about Sarah Palin seems like an odd thing to elicit the opus.
No weeping. No recriminations by name. No vague allusions of secret cabals. No lengthy postings of historical evidence. No rantings at mods. Generally grammatically correct. I can’t even give it a 1.0.
Its not complicated. If you don’t feel the same way about Sarah Palin as others, don’t say anything.
If it was one thread on one subject then you would have a point. It was just the thread that broke the camels back.

Everyone thinks what they think, you know. I think Palin is a good woman. I do not regret my vote for her at all.
However I do not think that she has not positioned herself to really be a factor any longer, at least not on a national election stage. I could be wrong about that, but I think I’m right.
I’ve gotten plenty of flak for thinking that, and plenty of flak for other things I think, believe me.
But I’ma put it out there. I don’t care what people say. I see things how I see them, and certainly I’m not always right, but I am just a simple man trying to make sense of an insane world that I live in, so you know, sometimes me and others butt heads.
That’s just how it goes.
I might just take a hiatus, 10 years is a long time to just walk away.
A little R&R will do wonders. After 15 years here, you realize that we conservatives are not a monolith.

This forum has improved quite a bit since I started lurking quite a few years ago.
Nothing is perfect tho.
I don’t get why people do this, I really don’t. If you don’t want to post on this site any longer, then don’t. Why make a whining post asking to have your account deleted? Why not just log off? I realize it’s something of a tradition around here but it’s stupid if you ask me.
BTW I don’t agree with Palinbots either, here’s an idea, just stop arguing with them. It’s a big site.
A rest from FR from time to time is good for the soul, as one once told me. Be seeing you!
Why limit yourself. Perhaps you may realize that other tea party candidates exist out there and are liked here at FR. people are allowed to disagree with you and you them. Don’t get all pissy because someone disagrees with you on one issue. It’s not a deal breaker unless you make it so.
