Yup, have to take some fun breaks every once in a while.

From another gossip column.

The Grammy Awards: It’s more like the Illuminati Awards! That’s what some Twitter users were saying on Sunday night after Jay Z accepted his award on Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The rapper, who opened the show by singing — with his wife, Beyoncé — a rendition of “Drunk In Love,” stepped onto the stage and thanked God, kind-of. “I would like to thank God,” he said, “a little.”

If practically any other musician made this statement, it probably wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But because it was Jay Z, the Twitterverse was sent into a tizzy. The rapper, who also goes by HOV (which is short for Jehovah or God), has long been rumored to be a part of the Illuminati. It’s a group that has ties to the Beast, or in other words people who are practicing Freemasons or Satanists.

Jay Z, whose real name is Sean Carter, has never admitted to being in the illuminati. Nevertheless, some people can’t help but place him; his wife, Beyoncé; and other popular artists in the illuminati group. That’s why when he thanked God, some people were caught somewhat off guard. He added that he was only going to thank God “a little,” which really sparked the Twitterverse. Some said it was proof that he wasn’t in the Illuminati. After all, why would he thank God if he was a part of a Satanic group? For others, however, it somehow confirmed his involvement in the underground group.

This is the guy who hangs out with the president. Rap star Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) was arrested by New York City cops in December 1999 for allegedly stabbing a record executive at a Manhattan nightclub. Originally charged with felony assault, the performer pleaded guilty in October 2001 to a reduced misdemeanor count and was sentenced to three years probation.
